Friday night was the Grand Tasting. Never was there a more appropriate title of an event with all the best Chefs, Brewers and Distillers of the Fort Worth area in one place!
Saturday was mind-blowing! Sitting on stage at Bass Performance Hall, we had the chance to experience rare wines, fine cuisine from Jon Bonnell and Stephan Pyles, and amazing performances by the Fort Worth Opera, The Texas Boys Choir, and designer Shawn Florence at an event called Tastes of the World. You can’t beat seats like this! AMAZING!
The much anticipated event, Burgers, Brews and Blues couldn’t have been more perfect. The combination of the great burgers, beer and music at Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork, with the perfect weather, was unbeatable. We got to sample all kinds of beer, including the Best Brewery winner Panther Island Brewing’s (Wahoo) beer, Allergeez and Best Burger winner, Rodeo Goat.
Sunday’s Sip + Savor was like a brunchers dream! Champagne, brisket tacos, cupcakes, chocolate, just heavenly! The excitement was still in the air; almost better than coffee! Almost!
The Festival Finale took place at Coyote Drive-in. What a perfect venue for Meals on Wheels for Meals on Wheels, benefiting Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County. Festival goers got to sample 12 food trucks and relax under the covered patio with very comfortable custom-made furniture from the talented people at PalletSmart and take some goofy photos in the PhotoBus!
We can’t believe it’s already over. It came and went in a flash! We live in a great city with tons of people that are ready to get their hands dirty and help in a heartbeat! We can hardly wait for next year!
